The Hairy Bikers’ Pubs That Built Britain airs a new episode tonight Friday 31 March 2023 on BBC Two.

“Cornwall” Si and Dave travel to the late 1700s and visit the Cornish pubs that were the hubs of the illegal smuggling business.

The small fishing town of Polperro serves as the starting point for their investigation, where they come across a smugglers’ tunnel and a landlord with illicit ties. The Hairy Bikers take a trip inland to Bodmin Moor, where they stop at the renowned Jamaica Inn and learn to prepare rum shrub, the drink of the time.
