The Intruder: Norma (S1EP3 ITV Sun 16 Jan 1972, Maggie Don)

In Norma, the third episode The Intruder, Arnold is spending more time with Jane, his friend Norma Benson (who works as a maid up at the big house) is not impressed. Arnold has other things to worry about though. Sonny aka The Stranger has returned.

Co-writer and director Peter Plummer had also worked on another teen cult favourite with The Owl Service. The Intruder’s source material was the novel by John Rowe Townsend, another of his books, the dystopian Noah’s Castle was adapted in 1980, this series also has a high standing amongst genre fans.
