The North Water Episode 3

In the third episode The North Water, after persuading Brownlee (Stephen Graham) to let him examine Drax (Colin Farrell), Sumner (Jack O’Connell) makes a gruesome discovery that sends Drax into a murderous rage.

Subdued at gunpoint, Drax is chained to the ship’s mast. The Volunteer heads North, where the growing ice traps the ship and it begins to look as though Baxter (Sir Tom Courtenay) and Brownlee’s duplicitous plan will soon take hold. The crew head out on to the ice, but must soon take shelter from a coming storm. Help is in sight, but can they truly rely on it?

The North Water was adapted for the screen and directed by Andrew Haigh, made by See-Saw Films and Rhombus Media for the BBC.

Image shows Cavendish (Sam Spruell), Supporting Artists, Henry Drax (Colin Farrell), Captain Brownlee (Stephen Graham), Patrick Sumner (Jack O’Connell), Otto (Roland Møller).
