The Power Game: Saturday’s Women (ITV 17 Jan 1966, with David Langton)

The Power Game Patrick Wymark as Sir John Wilder flanked by the two women in his life. His wife Pamela (played by Barbara Murray) and his mistress Susan Weldon (Rosemary Leach)

In Saturday’s Women Kenneth and Caswell Bligh are not impressed that Wilder has gone behind their back with the tender for a major contract in Africa. Wilder and Caswell are also still very much at loggerheads over both being members of the export board (one of them needs to go but neither is willing to give an inch). Caswell, having discovered Wilder’s affair with Susan Weldon (who is also heavily involved with the workings of the board and has knowledge of lots of important government secrets), plans to use the information to discredit Wilder but of course Sir John is always one step ahead!
