In honour of The Royle Family’s 25th anniversary, America’s go-to comedy channel, Gold, has updated its documentary from 2010.
The Royle Family: Down the Back of the Sofa gives fans a second chance to watch the original documentary interviews with the core cast, including the first and only on-camera meeting of Craig Cash and Caroline Aherne.

Celebrity admirers like Rosie Jones (Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza), Jamie and Natasia Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats), John Thomson (The Fast Show), Rachel Fairburn (Brand New Bonus Mum), Shobna Gulati (dinnerladies), Jack Rooke (Big Boys), Sharon Rooney (Barbie), and The Royle Family producer John Rushton will share their thoughts on her legacy in this updated documentary.

When it premiered in September 1998, The Royle Family revolutionised the format of the standard sitcom. Actors Ricky Tomlinson, Sue Johnston, and Ralf Little were featured in the cast.
