Tis the Season to be Merry Premieres Sun 19 Dec on Hallmark
Rachael Leigh Cook (“Psych,” She’s All That), Travis Van Winkle (Transformers) and Karen Malina White (“Lodge 49”) star in “Tis the Season to be Merry,” a new, original movie premiering Sunday, December 19 (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming event – your home for the holiday.
Merry (Cook), is a successful dating advice writer and influencer living in Boston. But, despite her widely shared rules for dating, she hasn’t yet found love for herself. Merry writes a book based on her real-life experiences with love and unintentionally includes a fictional, perfect fiancée named Dale that her publisher, Sonia (White), believes is real.
Merry decides to go home with her best friend Darlene (Amy Groening, Bone Cage) to figure out how she can come clean to her publisher before the book is published and her reputation is ruined by a lie. Merry quickly runs into Adam (Van Winkle), Darlene’s brother, and sparks fly.
They have very different views on what it takes for two people to fall in love but soon realize that, despite how incompatible they are on paper, they’re falling for each other. As Christmas approaches, Merry learns she can let go of some of her rules for love while Adam realizes there is plenty of room in his heart to try again. When she decides to take a chance on her feelings for Adam, Merry also finds the perfect solution to her book.
“Tis the Season to be Merry” is from Crown Media Productions, LLC. Stan Spry and Eric Woods are executive producers. Anthony Fankhauser is co-executive producer, whereas Lexi Lewis and Devan Towers are co-producers. Gary Yates directed from a story by Jen Kirkman.
Airdate: Sunday 19 December 2021 at 8.00pm on Hallmark.
