Truckers: Life On The Road airs a new episode tonight Friday 31 March 2023 on BBC One Wales.

“Episode 4” The company started off with one van in 1972 and has since expanded to employ more than a thousand people. Managing Director Ian Owen has planned a family fun day for the entire staff to commemorate the company’s 50th anniversary. Vicky, the marketing manager, is in charge of planning and executing the event, while Ian has to prepare a speech.

Matt, the trapper, is embarking on a 500-mile journey. He’s taking a truckload of cut trees to Lockerbie, Scotland. Matt has to be extra careful getting to his pick-up site in the forest because he is one of only three drivers in the firm who have been taught to conduct this run. There is no room for error.

Despite the fact that his partner Emma does not share his interest in trucks, radio DJ Jagger displays his extensive collection of model trucks in the Vale of Glamorgan. Jagger, who failed his first HGV test and is now taking it again in Bridgend, is also practising with his teacher Will. Will the second attempt be successful?
