Watergate: High Crimes In The White House Premiere (SBS Sunday 26 March 2023)

SBS is set to air an original two-hour documentary titled “Watergate: High Crimes In The White House” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the infamous Watergate scandal that led to the downfall of then-U.S President Richard Nixon. The documentary takes viewers through the scandalous series of events that brought Nixon’s presidency to a crushing end.

The Watergate break-in, which happened on June 17, 1972, remains one of the most scandalous incidents in American political history. The arrest of five burglars and the discovery of wiretaps planted at the Democratic National Committee headquarters were just the tip of the iceberg, as the scandal exposed a web of corruption and cover-ups that reached the highest echelons of the American government.
