Wilde Alliance: Well Enough Alone (ITV 28 Feb 1978 with Caroline Blakiston)

In Well Enough Alone, the woman who translates Rupert’s novels into Spanish turns up asking him to help look into the disappearance of her daughter who is supposed to have been studying at University in York. No trace can be found of her but a cricket playing Texan undergrad may hold the key to her whereabouts.

A straight forward missing lady mystery story, lots of good banter as always between Rupert, Amy and Christopher and some notable names popping up in guest roles not least the lovely Desmond Llewellyn, here typecast again as a colonel type but there are also prominent roles for Caroline Blakiston (who puts on a very dodgy Spanish accent as the mother of the missing girl) and Zenia Merton of UFO fame.
