Within These Walls: My Dad Was Called Charlie (ITV 29 Nov 1975, with Julie Dawn Cole)

In My Dad Was Called Charlie two teenage girl are on remind at Stone Park after assaulting an elderly lady on a bus. Both girls seem unlikely types to have become involved in something of this nature and Faye and her staff are at a loss to understand their motivation.

A rare instance in the series of seeing the crime committed as the episode opens with the girls on the bus. The girls had teamed up with a pair of young tearaways, the well to do Caroline is very much the ring leader with Gilllian initially seeming on the side of the old lady before joining in with the rest of the gang.

At Stone Park Gillian cuts herself off from the rest of the inmates and at one stage attacks Caroline, blaming her for her troubles. Charles tries his best to get through to her but their is a tragic end when Gillian commits suicide.

A young Henrietta Baynes plays Caroline and an equally young Julie Dawn Cole plays the troubled Gillian.
