Within These Walls: Windows (ITV 15 Nov 1975, with Joanna Van Gyseghem)

In Windows, Jane Forrest, a high end and well connected call girl is in Stone Park having been found guilty of demanding money with menaces. She is not getting on with the other inmates who think she is too high and mighty for them.

Charles Radley’s wife is taking a few days break away from him, staying with family in Colwyn Bay. Charles himself seems to be having some sort of existential crisis. When he finds himself conducting Faye’s “applications to see the governor” meeting he has to deal with Jane Forrest who wants a transfer (she is basically sick of having her cell wrecked and being generally picked on). He immediately feels some sort of connection with her and tries to help her.

A very interesting episode from the always excellent Peter Hammond and a chance for Radley to take centre stage.
