World’s Most Secret Hotels Series Premiere (Channel 4 Sunday 29 January 2023)
World’s Most Secret Hotels airs a new episode tonight Sunday 29 January 2023 on Channel 4.
Series Premiere In this series, we go to some of the world’s most off-the-beaten-path hotels, including undersea hideaways, desert getaways, cliffside homes, and treetop huts. In the premiere, we travel to Cambodia, Italy, Wales, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
We travel to the Shinta Mani Wild hotel in Cambodia, which is located on the banks of the Timor Rung River.
We stay at the Sextantio Le Grotte della Civita Hotel in Italy, which is cut into the side of a cliff like so many other buildings in the area.
We travel to two hidden locations in Wales: a stone cottage built into cliffs that are more than 500 million years old (the Clifftop Holiday Lodge in Caerwenfor) and a World War II-era bunker in Monmouthshire known as the “Decoy Bunker,” whose sole purpose was to confuse German bombers and divert their attention from more important targets.
We visit the Swedish Lapland town of Harads and stay at The Tree Hotel, which is situated in a forested area. And in England we go to South Devon, sometimes referred to as “The English Riviera,” where we find the Burgh Island Hotel located on a private island about 250 metres off the coast.
Airdate: Sunday 29 January 2023 at 6.45pm on Channel 4.
