Hope Street | Interview with Aaron McCusker (Clint Dunwoody)

What attracted you to the role?

It was wonderful to be offered a role in a new BBC Northern Ireland project. Post pandemic to be part of a new series like Hope Street is so exciting and it’s brilliant to see continued investment in making work in Northern Ireland.

My character plays the guitar in the show, so I spent some time brushing up on my guitar skills, it had been a while!

How did you find filming in Donaghadee?

Filming in Donaghadee was great, to be by the sea every day was amazing and we had some amazing backdrops for some of the scenes.

What do you hope the audience will take from this drama?

Enjoyment, connections with the characters and a slice of Northern Irish life.

Was there a particular moment during filming that stands out?

I’m working with my close friend Ciaran McMenamin. So the first day that he and I got to film our first two-hander was a standout moment in the shoot.
