The delinquents of the diamond are back for the final installment of the series. Tony Curtis is enjoyable as a talent agent who’s out to exploit the kids when they travel to the Orient for the Little League World Series in Tokyo. Their opponent is a team from Japan. Their mission? Win the game and manage to return without starting World War III.
John Berry, the director of The Bad News Bears Go to Japan, was blacklisted during the McCarthy era and consequently spent many years living in France. He returned to Hollywood with Claudine (1974), starring Diahann Carroll.
