The Billionaire Boys Club is based on a true story and was also made into a mini-series in 1987. Led by their fellow preppie friend Joe Hunt, a group of wealthy boys in Los Angeles during the early 1980s establish a get rich quick scam that turns deadly.
Judd Nelson plays the father of Joe Hunt here, in the 1987 version he had the role of Joe himself. Kevin Spacey has a key role, the movie was actually filmed in 2016 before the career killing allegations against him.
