College Swing (Paramount 1938, George Burns, Gracie Allen)
An incredible all-star cast that includes George Burns and Gracie Allen, Bob Hope, and a young Betty Grable pitches in to rescue a fairly silly plot about Allen taking over a college. Based on a story by Ted Lesser, adapted by Frederick Hazlitt Brennan–and Preston Sturges took an uncredited crack at the script, too.
Among the familiar faces in College Swing (1938) is Robert Cummings, playing a small role as the Radio Announcer in this early screen appearance.
