Greatest Showman, The (2017, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron)

The Greatest Showman is the lavish story of American showman P.T. Barnum, founder of the circus that became the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

After losing his job when the company he works for goes into bankruptcy, Barnum struggles to make ends meet and give his family the life they deserve. After a moment of genius while entertaining his two daughters with a homemade light ornament, he decides to construct the very meaning of show business itself.

Procuring a selection of performers, all with unique talents, abilities and individual characteristics, Barnum launches at first a museum of curiosities which very quickly becomes a legendary circus and in the process changes what we now know as the show business forever.

A stunningly good feel-good movie, fabulous direction, excellent songs and brilliant performances. The king of movie that you could quite happily watch again the moment it is over.
