Misty (TCF 1961 , David Ladd, Arthur O’Connell)
An admirable adaptation of Marguerite Henry’s children’s classic Misty of Chincoteague about two children (David Ladd, son of Alan Ladd, and Smith) and the wild pony they come to love. O’Connell and Seymour play the adults who help the children win the pony at the annual auction. The main attractions are the attractive Virginia coastal island locations and the scenes of wild horses running in the ocean waves.
