Published

on

Character-actor great Thelma Ritter stars as a marriage broker who makes model Jeanne Crain her personal business. When she learns that young and winning Crain is romantically attached to a married man, she decides to set her up with X-ray technician Brady. This comedy relies heavily on humorous portrayals of the marriage service’s customers, but turns sweet as Ritter wages her unyielding campaign to unite the young couple. She’s surprised to discover there is something in it for her.
