Moderns, The (1988, Keith Carradine, Linda Fiorentino)
Nick Hart (Keith Carradine) is a struggling artist living amongst the expatriate community in 1920s Paris where he spends much of his time pestering a local gallery owner (Genevieve Bujold) to sell his paintings.
Thinking that money can tempt back his former wife Rachel (Linda Fiorentino) from American millionaire Bertram Stone (John Lone) he becomes involved in the forgery of three paintings at the request of heiress Nathalie de Ville (Geraldine Chaplin).
A beautifully romantic evocation of the artistic life in the early years of the last century.
