Murder At The Gallop (1963, Margaret Rutherford, Robert Morley)
Another of the classic Margaret Rutherford starring takes on the Miss Marple stories. As always the producers (in much the same way that ITV have done with their series featuring Marple) play fast and loose with Agatha Christie’s character. Murder At The Gallop is actually based on the novel After The Funeral which was an Hercule Poirot mystery.
Here Miss Marple finds herself investigating the murder of a wealthy recluse who was apparently frightened to death.
