Perfect Furlough, The (Universal 1958, Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh)
Psychologist Janet Leigh comes up with the morale-boosting idea of creating custom-design furloughs for 300 soldiers. Playboy Tony Curtis dreams up a trip to Paris with a starlet. Leigh comes along and winds up with the soldier boy. Curtis and Leigh were married at the time.
During a preview showing of The Perfect Furlough in Westwood, California, a publicist for the film claimed that he counted 287 laughs from the college audience who attended the screening.
