Pollyanna (Disney 1960, Hayley Mills, Karl Malden)
A Disney remake of the 1921 Mary Pickford original, based on the Eleanor Porter story, this is a heartwarming tale of a young girl (Hayley Mills) who brings goodwill and happiness to the residents of a New England town. The entire cast is first-rate. Mills won a special Oscar for ‘The Most Outstanding Juvenile Performance.’
Pollyanna, features the last film appearance by character actor Adolphe Menjou. He plays grumpy Mr. Pendergast.
