Pretty Boy Floyd (1960, John Ericson, Jason Evers)
Based-on-a-true-story chronicle of a notorious 1930s Oklahoma gangster, Charles Arthur Pretty Boy’ Floyd (John Ericson). The story begins with his attempt to straighten out his act by working in an oilfield, but his past of armed robbery catches up with him and he returns to a life of crime to become the most terrifying criminal in the Midwest. Floyd is an angry and ignorant character, whose numerous holdups lead to the famous ‘Kansas City Massacre’ in which two FBI agents and a police officer are shot to death. An independent production.’
Al Lewis, the former vaudevillian and future television actor, made his film debut in Pretty Boy Floyd (1960). From 1964-1966 Lewis played Grandpa Munster on the television series, The Munsters.
