Body snatchers from outer space inhabit the citizens of a small midwestern town in this suspenseful sci-fi adventure set in the year 1958. Paul Le Mat stars as the professor who teams up with a cynical tabloid newspaper reporter played by Nancy Allen as they attempt to save the professor’s daughter from his alien ex-wife. Striking special effects highlight this 1980s version of a 1950s sci-fi film.
William Condon, who co-wrote the 1983 sci-fi film Strange Invaders, is the Academy Award-winning screenwriter who also penned the 1999 film Gods and Monsters.
