In period set DC Universe entry Wonder Woman, an Amazon princess comes to the world of Man in the grips of the First World War to confront the forces of evil and bring an end to human conflict.

The production does well to make the Wonder Woman origin story feel suitably epic, the movie really kicks into gear when Diana leaves her island paradise for the real world.
