“100 Day Dream Home” returns to HGTV this Tuesday with a lakeside ranch renovation that looks anything but relaxing for Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt. In the season premiere, the duo takes on a seemingly idyllic project: transforming a dated ranch house into a dream home for a family looking to downsize and enjoy waterfront living.
But as any seasoned renovator knows, looks can be deceiving. Brian and Mika quickly discover that this lakeside property has more than a few skeletons in its closet – or, more accurately, cracks in its foundation. Along with black mold and some truly terrifying faulty wiring, the team faces a mountain of unexpected challenges that threaten to derail their ambitious 100-day timeline.
Despite the setbacks, the planned renovation still sounds pretty sweet. Opening up the main living space to those stunning waterfront views, adding a sparkling new pool, and building a massive dock perfect for entertaining – it’s a dream home waiting to happen.
