UPtv is about to unleash its latest holiday romance offering, 12 Dares Of Christmas, and it’s aiming for a blend of heartwarming cheer and mildly disruptive antics. This time around, the formula involves a teacher whose meticulously planned, low-key Christmas takes a sharp detour thanks to her sister’s penchant for festive dares. Because nothing says “holiday spirit” like forced social interaction, right?
Our protagonist, presumably more comfortable grading papers than engaging in reindeer games, finds herself juggling these increasingly complicated dares while also spearheading a Christmas exchange program with a town in France. As if holiday lesson planning wasn’t enough, now she has to contend with a transatlantic cultural exchange. And, of course, there’s the obligatory charming French teacher, played by Sean Yves Lessard, thrown into the mix. One might cynically predict some cross-cultural misunderstandings leading to romantic tension, but hey, it’s UPtv, so let’s embrace the predictable.
Joining Lessard and adding to the heartwarming/chaotic energy are Brittany Underwood and Marnie Mahannah.
