The Rose Parade, a New Year’s Day tradition, returns for its 136th edition on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. NBC will broadcast the event live from Pasadena, California, marking the network’s 98th year of coverage, which first began on Radio in 1927. “Today” show anchors Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will once again helm the broadcast, bringing their signature blend of enthusiasm and expertise to the festivities.

In a significant expansion of access, this year’s parade will be available for streaming on Peacock, alongside the traditional NBC broadcast. This marks the first time the parade will be simulcast on a streaming platform, allowing a broader audience to enjoy the spectacle.

The 2025 parade features tennis icon Billie Jean King as Grand Marshal. The procession will include 39 elaborate floats, some reaching up to 75 feet long and 35 feet high, incorporating various special effects. Sixteen equestrian teams and 24 marching bands will also contribute to the vibrant atmosphere.

For Al Roker, this marks his 26th year hosting the Rose Parade telecast. The parade is set to kick off with a dramatic B-2 Spirit flyover, followed by performances from the Rose Queen and her Royal Court.
