Determined to uncover the truth, DI Mepstead emphasizes the importance of the first 24 to 48 hours in solving the case: “No detail is too small; I want to try and understand what has led to her being targeted, what has led to her murder.”
With unprecedented access, cameras follow the Major Crime Unit detectives as they conduct a thorough investigation, going door-to-door and exploring every possible motive. Despite the shortage of clues at the crime scene, the local rumour mill soon reveals intriguing information about the victim and a possible suspect.
