48 Hours: The ‘No Body’ Case of Dee Warner (CBS, Saturday, February 1, 2025)

48 Hours Key Art

It’s a familiar true-crime trope: a seemingly happy marriage, a sudden disappearance, and a family convinced of foul play. CBS’s 48 Hours revisits this formula with “The ‘No Body’ Case of Dee Warner,” airing Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Dee Warner, a Michigan mother and businesswoman, vanished in April 2021. Poof. Gone. No body, no clear explanation, just a whole lot of unanswered questions. Her family, naturally, suspects the worst. Their fingers point squarely at her husband, Dale Warner, who insists he last saw his wife in the wee hours of the morning before heading out to work the fields.

Correspondent Erin Moriarty tackles this perplexing case, focusing on the significant hurdle facing investigators: the complete lack of physical evidence. No body, no murder weapon, no signs of a struggle. It’s a tough nut to crack, even for the most seasoned detectives.

Dale Warner, for his part, has cooperated with authorities, allowing searches of his property and submitting to questioning. Security footage appears to back up his claim of being on the farm the day his wife disappeared. But in these sorts of cases, suspicion lingers like a bad smell.

With no official breakthroughs, Dee’s family turned to private investigator Billy Little, hoping a fresh set of eyes might uncover something the police missed. Whether Little’s involvement yields any new leads remains a central question for the 48 Hours episode.

While the “husband did it” narrative is often the easiest to jump to, this case presents a genuine mystery. Did Dee Warner simply walk away from her life? Was she the victim of foul play? Or is there some other, as-yet-unimagined explanation? Tune in Saturday to see if 48 Hours can shed any light on this baffling disappearance.

48 Hours airs Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 PM, ET/PT on CBS. An encore presentation of “Death by Eye Drops” airs at 9:00 PM, ET/PT.
