On Sunday, 29 September, Channel 9’s 60 Minutes, features reports about Donald Trump and the former wife of Dr Adam Britton from Amelia Adams and Tara Brown.
The first story profiles the security of former US President Donald Trump, who has figuratively been in the crosshairs of his detractors due to his divisive political stance. However, recent events have taken a more literal turn, with two assassination attempts made on Trump’s life in the past two and a half months.
In July, a bullet grazed the former president during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, and just two weeks ago, he was targeted again while playing golf in Florida. Fortunately, both attempts failed.
Amelia Adams’ report examines the security failures that allowed these attacks to occur and explores the impact on the presidential campaign.
The episode also includes an exclusive interview by Tara Brown with Erin, the former wife of Darwin-based crocodile expert, Dr. Adam Britton. Britton, who once worked alongside Sir David Attenborough, was exposed as a perpetrator of vile acts of animal cruelty, for which he was sentenced to 10 years in prison last month.
In her first interview since the crimes came to light two years ago, Erin speaks out about grappling with the terrifying truth about her former husband, who hid a despicable secret behind his public persona as a respected wildlife warrior.
