‘60 Minutes Australia’ Sunday 1 June: True-Crime Double Bill Digs Into Union Corruption, Lucy Letby Case

60 Minutes on Channel 9

60 Minutes is pushing into primetime heat this Sunday with a pair of headline-heavy segments—one involving an explosive bikie tell-all, the other re-examining one of Britain’s most disturbing child murder convictions. The long-running newsmag lands later than usual, airing at 8:40 PM on Channel 9.

In “Settling the Score,” Nick McKenzie sits down with Jonny “Two Guns” Walker, a former bikie enforcer turned whistleblower, who unloads on his past ties with the CFMEU and the alleged corruption inside. Walker, who once threatened McKenzie, now delivers an on-camera mea culpa and throws sharp accusations at his former union allies. The segment is produced by Amelia Ballinger, with support from ongoing investigations by The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald.

The second segment, “Angel of Death,” puts the spotlight back on Lucy Letby—the British nurse convicted of killing seven infants. Tara Brown takes a hard look at the evidence used to secure her conviction and whether it holds up to scrutiny. Medical misinterpretation or cold-blooded crime? The piece challenges viewers to reconsider the case. It’s produced by Anne Worthington.
