The anarchic blend of letters, numbers, and comedic chaos that is 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown returns to Channel 4 for its 27th season. Host Jimmy Carr, along with resident lexicographer Susie Dent and numbers whiz Rachel Riley, will once again preside over the unpredictable proceedings. The first episode features a clash of comedic titans, as Sarah Millican and Josh Widdicombe face off against Alan Carr and Thanyia Moore.
The familiar format remains largely unchanged, with contestants tackling Countdown’s classic word and number rounds, interspersed with the show’s signature blend of off-the-cuff humor and playful banter. Joining Susie Dent in Dictionary Corner this time around will be The Delightful Sausage, the comedy duo known for their surreal and often absurd humor. Their presence guarantees an added dose of unpredictable antics to the already chaotic mix.
