90 Day: The Last Resort “The Last Straw” (TLC, Monday, December 9, 2024)

90 Day: The Last Resort Key Art

In the arid expanse of the desert, emotions run as hot as the midday sun. On Monday’s episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort, aptly titled “The Last Straw,” TLC’s relationship rehab experiment takes a rocky turn – literally. The couples, already teetering on the brink of romantic collapse, will trudge through the sand in a group therapy session dubbed “Compromise Canyon.”

This isn’t your average couples’ retreat. Forget luxurious spa treatments and poolside cocktails. This week, the couples are tasked with hauling rocks – physical manifestations of their relationship baggage – through the unforgiving terrain. The goal? To work through their issues, lighten their literal and metaphorical loads, and hopefully emerge from the desert with a renewed sense of purpose, or at least a slightly better understanding of why they signed up for this televised emotional rollercoaster.

90 Day: The Last Resort, for the uninitiated, gathers couples from the sprawling 90 Day universe who find themselves at a crossroads. Faced with the monumental decision of whether to stay together or go their separate ways, they’ve opted for this intensive, and undoubtedly dramatic, intervention. With a team of therapists and relationship experts (because who needs a vacation when you can have televised group therapy?), these couples attempt to dissect the complicated mess of their relationships, all under the watchful eye of TLC’s cameras. Will “Compromise Canyon” provide the breakthrough they desperately need, or will it simply add fuel to the already raging fire?
