The Hallmark Channel presents an original movie, Costa Rican Wedding, premiering on Saturday, 17 August 2024, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The film stars Rhiannon Fish (My Norwegian Holiday) and Christopher Russell (Operation Nutcracker) as a pair of wedding attendants who put aside their rivalry to save the day.
Emily (Fish), a recently broken-hearted woman, is thrilled to be her best friend Phoebe’s (Brittany Carel, Fatal Fixer Upper) maid of honor at her Costa Rican wedding. However, her excitement turns to panic when a group of mischievous monkeys steals her bag, which contains priceless heirloom wedding rings. Determined to shed her clumsy reputation and rescue the big day, Emily reluctantly teams up with Ryan (Russell), the best man and her longtime rival.
Ryan, a local tour guide, believes he knows the tropical country inside out. Yet, as they embark on an unexpected adventure through stunning jungle volcanoes and surreal ancient archaeological sites, he may discover aspects of his homeland that even he didn’t know. Along the way, Emily and Ryan put aside their old differences and find common ground, all while racing to recover the rings and ensure the wedding goes smoothly.
A Costa Rican Wedding is produced by Johnson Production Group, with Timothy O. Johnson and Joseph Wilka serving as executive producers, Lisa Alford as co-executive producer, and David Boyles as producer. The film is directed by Colin Theys and written by Juliana Wimbles.
