Abbott Elementary will return to ABC next week for its fourth season, and fans can expect a unique crossover event this time around. During July’s Comic-Con International: San Diego, creator and star Quinta Brunson hinted at the collaboration, and it has now been confirmed that characters from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will make an appearance on the hit sitcom.

Starring Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and William Stanford Davis, Abbott Elementary centers on the staff at Willard R. Abbott Public School in Philadelphia.

Meanwhile, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia—featuring Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito—follows the dysfunctional crew that operates Paddy’s Pub.

The crossover was officially revealed in a photo posted on Rob McElhenney’s X (formerly Twitter) account. The special episode is expected to air sometime after Abbott Elementary’s Halloween-themed episode.
