Abbott Elementary: Ava Fest: Tokyo Drift (ABC, Wednesday, April 2, 2025)

Abbott Elementary Key Art

Leave it to the teachers of Abbott Elementary to find unconventional solutions to persistent problems. In this week’s episode, “Ava Fest: Tokyo Drift,” the educators of Philadelphia’s most underfunded public school take fundraising into their own hands – literally. Forget bake sales and PTA meetings; this time, it’s all about suds, sponges, and questionable car-washing techniques.

Janine, ever the optimist, sees the open house carwash as a golden opportunity to raise much-needed cash. Of course, Ava, the ever-so-slightly tone-deaf principal, has her own interpretation of the event, which could range from mildly unhelpful to outright chaotic. The rest of the Abbott crew – Gregory, Jacob, Melissa, Mr. Johnson, and Barbara – are along for the ride.

Will the carwash be a success? Will Ava accidentally wax someone’s windshield with peanut butter? Tune in to ABC this Wednesday, April 2 at 8:30 PM EST to see how it all plays out.
