It’s hoagies versus kale smoothies in the upcoming episode of Abbott Elementary as gentrification sets its sights on the teachers’ cherished local deli. “The Deli” finds Melissa, Barbara, and Jacob facing a familiar urban dilemma: a beloved neighborhood staple is being replaced by a shiny, new, overpriced smoothie shop.
