The dedicated teachers of “Abbott Elementary” are trading chalkboards for microphones this Wednesday. In “Karaoke,” airing at 8:30 PM ET on ABC, the educators of everyone’s favorite underfunded Philadelphia public school are taking a much-needed break from the classroom and heading to a karaoke bar. Expect off-key renditions, questionable song choices, and perhaps a bit of teacher-on-teacher rivalry as they let loose and belt out their best (or worst).
But amidst the karaoke chaos, there’s a subplot brewing. Jacob, the ever-earnest and slightly awkward history teacher, will run into someone from his past. Whether this reunion brings heartwarming reconnection or a dose of awkward tension remains to be seen. ”
