The ABC and BBC Studios have solidified their long-running partnership with a new multi-year deal. This means Australian audiences will continue to enjoy a wide selection of popular British shows on ABC channels and the ABC iview streaming service.

Here’s the Lowdown: The agreement covers a range of genres, including drama, comedy, children’s programs, and entertainment. Returning favorites include Changing Ends (seasons three and four) and Live At the Apollo. Kids’ shows like Hey Duggee, Andy’s Global Adventures, and new series of Supertato, Deadly 60, and Horrible Histories will premiere on ABC.

The Bigger Picture: This renewed partnership highlights the ongoing popularity of British programming in Australia. The deal reflects the shared public service goals of both the ABC and BBC Studios. The ABC will also be showing, for the first time in Australia, a new take on Walking With Dinosaurs that uses new scientific research, and state of the art special effects. The series follows the lives of six separate dinosaurs.
