ABC News will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2024 vice presidential debate on October 1, broadcasting on multiple platforms, including ABC, ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu. Coverage will begin with a pre-debate special, “Race for the White House,” hosted by David Muir, which airs at 8:00 p.m. EDT. The debate itself will be simulcast from CBS at 9:00 p.m. EDT, followed by a post-debate analysis led by ABC News’ political team.
David Muir will anchor the debate coverage, supported by ABC News correspondents, including Martha Raddatz, Linsey Davis, and Jonathan Karl. Political analysis will be provided by contributors Donna Brazile, Chris Christie, and Reince Priebus. ABC News programs such as “World News Tonight” and “Good Morning America” will offer additional analysis, with reports throughout the day from ABC News Radio and the ABC Audio podcast “Start Here.”
In addition to the vice presidential debate, ABC News will host special programming on “The View” and other shows, featuring notable political figures. ABC News Digital and 538 will provide live blogging, real-time analysis, and fact-checking of the debate.
