ABC Season Finale Airdates Announced



It’s that time of year when all our favourite shows are gearing up for their finales. ABC have released details of their finale air dates.

Highlights Include “The 2015 Billboard Music Awards” Live From Las Vegas

The ABC Television Network announced highlights of upcoming May sweeps programming, featuring season finale dates for series “American Crime,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “black-ish,” “Castle,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Forever,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” “Nashville,” “Revenge,” “Scandal,” “Secrets and Lies,” and “Shark Tank.“ In addition, “The 2015 Billboard Music Awards” will take place live from Las Vegas.

Other highlights include a special two-hour finale of “Once Upon A Time” and “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” the premieres of “Beyond the Tank” and “500 Questions,” and the return of “The Bachelorette,” with a special two-night event.

The Chew – ABC’s “The Chew” is celebrating spring! On Monday, April 27, Guillermo Diaz (ABC’s “Scandal”) guests, and Tuesday, April 28, The Radio City Rockettes swing by and kick-up their heels for a fun, yet informative, spring cleaning segment with Clinton Kelly. On Tuesday, May 5, it’s a “Cinco de Mayo Party!” with Mexican chef Pati Jinich. The week of May 11–15 is “Inspiration Week,” with co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz celebrating the people in their lives who inspire them most. On Monday, May 18, “Empire” star Jussie Smollett fills in as guest co-host for the day. “The Chew” airs MONDAY – FRIDAY (1:00- 2:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

General Hospital – The Daytime Emmy nominated series celebrates the annual Nurses’ Ball on Friday, May 1, Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5. See which of your favorite stars will return, along with the GH character fans voted back. Stay tuned for a two-day network daytime television event as “General Hospital” broadcasts live from Los Angeles on Friday, May 15, and again Monday, May 18.

Beyond the Tank – SERIES PREMIERE — A one-hour companion series from the producers of the Emmy-winning reality series, “Shark Tank,” will tell what happens to the entrepreneurs after their appearance on The Tank. In “Episode 101,” Robert Herjavec rolls up his sleeves to help guide San Diego, CA entrepreneurs Evan Melsohn and Nick Morton, the “Tipsy Elves” business duo from Season 5. They find themselves at a crossroads when it comes to branding their clothing design company and if Nick should quit his job as a dentist and participate full time in the business. Sixteen-year old Carter Kostler from Virginia Beach, VA felt devastated when he did not get a deal for The Define Bottle, his fruit-infused water bottle, after appearing in a Season 5 episode. He shares how he turned his first venture at being an entrepreneur into a learning experience that will last him a lifetime. When former pro-football player Al “Bubba” Baker and his daughter, Brittani Bo Baker, pitched the Sharks in Season 5, Daymond John won the battle to invest $300,000 in their Deboned Baby Back Ribs business. But when Daymond goes to Avon, OH and discovers that production is not under control and orders aren’t keeping up with the demand, the Shark wonders if he made the right business decision, premieres FRIDAY, MAY 1 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Note: “Beyond the Tank” will run for three weeks through Friday, May 15.

Secrets and Lies – SEASON FINALE – “The Lie” – Certain that he is not responsible for Tom’s death, Ben tries to finally relax and enjoy the Christmas that he missed with his family — until a shocking discovery changes his plans. Meanwhile, with the evidence having been re-tested, Cornell puts all the pieces together and prepares to make an arrest. But in the stunning conclusion, Ben makes a decision that will change his family’s life forever. The nightmare is only just starting, on “Secrets and Lies,” airing SUNDAY, MAY 3 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Forever – SEASON FINALE — “The Last Death of Henry Morgan” – Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time. Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation. But at long last, will Jo finally learn about Henry’s secret? The Season Finale of “Forever” airs TUESDAY, MAY 5 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE – “S.O.S. Part One / S.O.S. Part Two” – S.H.I.E.L.D. puts everything on the line to survive a war that blurs the line between friend and foe. Coulson and his team will be forced to make shocking sacrifices that will leave their relationships and their world changed forever, on the two-hour season finale of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” TUESDAY, MAY 12 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

The Middle – SEASON FINALE — “The Graduate” – As graduation approaches, Sue begins to think that “the year of Sue” may end on a sour note when a series of unforeseen events threaten to ruin her special day. The Goldbergs – SEASON FINALE — “Turn Around, Bright Eyes” – When Erica gets accepted into a summer arts school, Beverly insists on throwing her a going-away party. Just as she departs for ten weeks, Beverly overly shows her affections while Murray struggles to tell Erica how he really feels. Meanwhile, Barry decides to be the school mascot to be closer to Lainey, but unbeknownst to him, their rival school is planning to beat up the mascot at the upcoming game, on “The Goldbergs,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 13 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Nashville – SEASON FINALE – “Before You Go Make Sure You Know” –Juliette is laser-focused on finishing her album – and when she puts everything and everyone she loves behind it – Avery makes a decision that impacts their lives forever. Deacon’s life hangs in the balance, but Rayna and the girls are by his side. With the clock ticking and the future uncertain, will they celebrate a life together? The season finale of “Nashville” airs WEDNESDAY, MAY 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Grey’s Anatomy – SEASON FINALE – THURSDAY, MAY 14 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

American Crime – SEASON FINALE – “Episode Eleven” – In the provocative, heart stopping season finale, the criminal case comes to a shocking close for all those involved as we see each life forever altered by this incident. Charged with emotions and unexpected twists, certain journeys will end while others begin, on “American Crime,” THURSDAY, MAY 14 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Shark Tank – SEASON FINALE — “Episode 623” — Young billionaire Nick Woodman, Founder and CEO of GoPro, returns to the Tank bringing his business and investment expertise as a Guest Shark. A cat lover from Boca Raton, FLA hopes to find the purr-fect partner to invest in her idea where patrons can enjoy adorable rescue cats while relaxing at a café; and a toy designer from Lake Forest, CA has an all-electric compact vehicle that merges the thrill of a motorcycle with an added degree of maneuverability. America’s Funniest Home Videos – SEASON FINALE – SUNDAY, MAY 17 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards – dick clark productions and Billboard, the ultimate authority in music and home of the iconic Billboard charts defining success in music, are set to return to ABC and will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 17 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET). The Bachelorette – SEASON PREMIERE – Will it be Kaitlyn or Britt? ABC’s hit romantic reality series, “The Bachelorette,” will kick off its 11th season with a two-night special. The surprises continue with the biggest one of all: there will be two Bachelorettes greeting their suitors for the first time ever. The charming, charismatic beauty, Britt, who captivated Chris Soules and the rest of Bachelor Nation with a memorable hug on that first night at The Bachelor mansion, and Kaitlyn, the gorgeous, fun-loving, warm-hearted, but irreverent firecracker who let down her guard only to have her heart crushed, will take their place in Bachelorette history. During the celebration, Jay frets about Gloria’s cousin who has overstayed his welcome; Claire stresses out about giving Alex the perfect gift; Mitch hides news of being laid off from Cam, and Andy’s girlfriend Beth is in town stirring up a whole lot tension with Haley which finally leads to a realization that may have come too late, on the season finale of “Modern Family,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 20 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

black-ish – SEASON FINALE – “Pops’ Pops’ Pops” — Jack and Diane look for clues about their roots for their class assignment, a history of the Johnson family. But when they can’t find anything out about the family’s past, Pops comes to the rescue with the colorful story of how “Pops’ Pops’ Pops’” great-great grandfather, Drex Johnson, bet the future of the Johnson family against a ruthless gangster, Elroy Savoy, during the 1920s Harlem Renaissance, on “black-ish,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 20 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. ITV, Kate Beckinsale to star in The Widow, a Harry and Jack Williams series

ITV have announced that Kate Beckinsale will take the leading role in ITV and Amazon Prime Video Drama, The Widow, from acclaimed writers Harry and Jack Williams. The series will be produced in conjunction with Amazon Prime Video.

In The Widow Kate will play Georgia Wells who has her life turned upside-down with a phone-call in the middle of the night. Her husband of over 10 years, Will, has been reported dead after a plane crash in the Congolese jungle.

Three years later, with her old life now a thing of the past, Georgia learns something shocking. Something that will take her to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, looking to uncover the truth about his disappearance.

Still haunted by the past, Georgia is grieving for the man she loved and the life they’ve lost, but she hasn’t given up hope.

The Widow has been commissioned for ITV by Head of Drama, Polly Hill, who said: “I’m delighted to announce Kate Beckinsale’s casting in The Widow. She is perfect for the role of Georgia in what is, as always, brilliant, compelling and surprising storytelling from Harry and Jack Williams. We’re very pleased to have secured the series which is an ITV original commission and co-production with Amazon Prime.”

Commented Harry and Jack Williams: “Kate Beckinsale is a brilliantly talented actress and we’re thrilled she’s joining us on this journey – we couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect for the role. The Widow is our most ambitious and cinematic piece to date and we can’t wait to bring the dark heart of the Congolese jungle to the screen.”

The Widow will be produced by Eliza Mellor (Liar, The Living and the Dead, Poldark, Death Comes to Pemberley) and will be directed by lead director Sam Donovan (Humans, Liar, Utopia) and Olly Blackburn (Donkey Punch, Glue) who is also directing four episodes of the series. Jack and Harry Williams will executive produce the drama.

The series will go into production in January 2018 in South Africa, Wales and Rotterdam.

The Widow will premiere on ITV before airing as an Amazon Prime Original in the US. The series will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories for members to watch via the Prime Video app for popular smart TVs, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and Android and iOS phones and tablets.

Channel 9, Married At First Sight 2018 New Series Premieres 29 Jan




What started as something of a social experiment but is now more or less straight reality (but still calling itself a social experiment), Married At First Sight will premiere it’s new series on Channel 9 on Monday January 29 at 7.30pm.

Once again the team – relationship expert John Aiken, neuropsychotherapist Dr Trisha Stratford, and dating and relationship expert Mel Schilling – aim to put relationships to the test in a unique experiment designed to determine if science can predict true love in couples who will get married at first sight.

The experts will undertake the mammoth task of pairing 20 brave singles to create their perfect match as 10 brides and 10 grooms undergo the most intense experiment yet.

The experts will match all our couples on the basis of extensive psychological and neurological testing and profiling.

Each couple meet for the first time on their wedding day, and from the moment they exchange vows their relationships are thrust under a microscope as they experience the highs and lows of marriage at full speed – alongside other couples riding the same rollercoaster.

They’ll get the chance to compare their experiences at often explosive dinner parties – and put their relationships to the test at the most confronting commitment ceremonies we’ve ever seen.

Netflix, German Supernatural drama Dark given Second Season

Netflix has renewed its first German original production, DARK, for a second season. The acclaimed drama created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese has resonated with audiences in Germany and around the world, including the U.S., Brazil, Italy, Turkey, Spain and France among other countries. DARK, a family saga with a supernatural twist, is now one of the most-watched entirely non-English shows on Netflix, a German series that transcends borders to connect with audiences in every country.

Kelly Luegenbiehl, Vice President of International Originals for Netflix, said: “When we first heard about DARK, we realized very early on that we hadn’t seen anything like this show before — in Germany or anywhere else in the world. DARK is a testament that great storytelling transcends geography. DARK is now streaming on Netflix, it is set in a German town in present day where the disappearance of two young children exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. In ten, hour-long episodes, the story takes on a supernatural twist that ties back to the same town in 1986.
