ABC Set to Air “CMA Fest” This July
Nashville’s CMA Festival will celebrate its 50th year with a three-hour prime-time concert special on June 8-11.
What’s can we expect
The Country Music Association has announced that ABC will air “CMA Fest,” the summer’s biggest music festival, at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19. Dierks Bentley, Elle King, and Lainey Wilson will host the three-hour primetime concert special, which will film in Nashville later this week during CMA Fest’s historic 50th anniversary.
The “CMA Fest” TV special will showcase performances and unexpected collaborations from some of Country Music’s most popular artists, many of which have never been broadcast publicly before. In the coming weeks, we will be able to see the performances.
The Country Music Association puts on the “CMA Fest” each year. Alan Carter directed the film he wrote and produced with Robert Deaton. CMA’s 20th annual summer concert special will air in 2023.

In 1972, 5,000 country music fans flocked to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium for what would become known as Fan Fair® and the Ultimate Country Music Fan ExperienceTM. The legendary festival, which this year celebrates its golden anniversary, has become the city’s signature Country Music event, drawing tens of thousands of fans from all fifty states and thirty-nine different countries. Hundreds of artists donate their time to perform at CMA Fest, making it a one-of-a-kind event where all proceeds go to support high-quality music education programs through the CMA Foundation. CMA has produced a summer music program for ABC’s network television special lineup for the past 20 years in a row.
