ABC have revealed their line up for their now traditional Halloween programming, with appearances from the much loved Peanuts gang, The Toy Story of Terror, themed episodes of Modern Family, The Middle and Fresh off the Boat and a Dancing With The Stars special.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20
“It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (8:00-8:30 p.m.) – In the 1966 half-hour animated special “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” The PEANUTS gang celebrates Halloween, with Linus hoping that, finally, he will be visited by The Great Pumpkin, while Charlie Brown is invited to a Halloween party. Cast members include Peter Robbins (“Charlie Brown”) and Christopher Shea (“Linus”).
“Toy Story OF TERROR!” (8:30-9:00 p.m.) – Disney-Pixar’s first special for television, “Toy Story OF TERROR!,” a spooky tale featuring all of your favorite characters from the “Toy Story” films. What starts out as a fun road trip for the “Toy Story” gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this “Toy Story OF TERROR!”
MONDAY, OCTOBER 26
“The Chew” (1:00-2:00 p.m.) – All week long “The Chew” is celebrating Halloween. From ghoulish goodies and killer cocktails to tips for decorating on a dime, co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz have viewers covered to celebrate this frighteningly delicious holiday in style. On Friday, October 30, the co-hosts will reveal their Halloween costumes which they each secretly chose for each other earlier in October.
“Dancing with the Stars” (8:00-10:00 p.m.) – “Dancing with the Stars” will treat viewers to an exciting Halloween-themed episode filled with spook-tacular performances from the remaining eight couples. Each pair will light up the ballroom floor with fabulous costumes vying for a wickedly perfect score.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27
“Fresh Off the Boat” (8:30-9:00 p.m.) – “Miracle on Dead Street” It’s the Huangs’ first Halloween in the suburbs, and Louis is determined to turn their “dead” street into a prime destination for trick-or-treaters. And as Louis, Eddie, Emery, Evan and even Grandma Huang show off their elaborate costumes, Jessica has bigger plans – to protect her investment property from teenage pranksters.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28
“The Middle” (8:00-8:30 p.m.) – “Halloween VI: Tick Tock Death” – Halloween finds the Hecks in their own “Twilight Zone”-type stories, with Brick providing an introduction to each. Brooke Shields returns as trashy neighbor Rita Glossner.
“The Goldbergs” (8:30-9:00 p.m.) – “Couples Costume” – When Dana comes to visit Adam for Halloween, he wants to spend the night with her and not Beverly. Trying to cope with this turn of events, Beverly decides to teach Adam a lesson about how dangerous the holiday can be, but the tables turn on Beverly. Later, Barry and Erica convince Adam to take Dana to a haunted house. Adam refuses to go back inside when Dana loses her promise ring, and an unlikely family member helps him.
“Modern Family” (9:00-9:30 p.m.) – “Halloween 3: AwesomeLand” – Even though Halloween is Claire’s holiday, she allows Phil to take over this year. So, instead of her usual fright-fest theme, he decides to turn the house into AwesomeLand! Gloria picks out Princess Fiona and Shrek costumes for her and Jay, but Jay decides he wants to be Prince Charming – complete with a full head of gorgeous hair – and with the hair comes a new sense of confidence. Elsewhere, Cameron gets overwhelmed by the day’s activities and Mitchell has closing arguments for a huge case, and it doesn’t help that the stenographer is dressed like a spider. Guest stars Steve Zahn (“Treme”) and Andrea Anders (“Better Off Ted”) return as the Dunphy’s neighbors.
“black-ish” (9:30-10:00 p.m.) – ”Jacked o’ Lantern” – Ever since he was a kid, Dre has loved Halloween. Now that he lives in one of those “good candy neighborhoods,” kids come from all over the city to trick-or-treat, including Dre’s own nieces and nephews. The cousins are known for roughhousing and the Johnson kids aren’t happy when they come around, but Dre feels his kids could use some toughening up. Meanwhile, Dre gets a surprise visit from his own cousin, June Bug (guest star Michael Strahan).
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29
“General Hospital” (3:00-4:00 p.m.) – Tricks and treats abound leading up to Port Charles’ big Halloween bash at the Haunted Star on Friday, Oct. 30 with a dramatic reveal that will change everything.
“It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (8:00-9:00 p.m.) (Full-length version) – Includes the bonus cartoon, “You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown,” which has the Great Pumpkin in the storyline.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” (11:35 p.m.) – It’s Jimmy Kimmel’s annual Halloween celebration! Jimmy Kimmel, his band Cleto and The Cletones, his announcer Dicky Barrett and his security guard Guillermo Rodriguez will continue their yearly tradition and all dress up for the holiday — this time, as legendary “Star Wars” characters along with special guests Harrison Ford (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) and Katie Lowes (“Scandal”).
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30
“Last Man Standing” (8:00-8:30 p.m.) – “Halloween” – On Halloween, Mike and Chuck decide to spend the evening watching football instead of passing out candy with their wives. But when Vanessa and Carol start pranking them, the competition is on to see who can out-prank who. Kyle dresses up like his hero, Ed, but Ed has a surprising response to Kyle’s imitation of him.
“Dr. Ken” (8:30-9:00 p.m.) – “Halloween-Aversary” – The episode opens with a flashback to Ken’s botched marriage proposal on Halloween. Now 20 years later, Ken tries to arrange the perfect re-proposal for Allison. Meanwhile at the office, which is decorated for Halloween, Damona and Julie accidentally drug Pat and then take advantage of their boss’ suddenly giving mood.

Channel 9, Married At First Sight 2018 New Series Premieres 29 Jan
What started as something of a social experiment but is now more or less straight reality (but still calling itself a social experiment), Married At First Sight will premiere it’s new series on Channel 9 on Monday January 29 at 7.30pm.
Once again the team – relationship expert John Aiken, neuropsychotherapist Dr Trisha Stratford, and dating and relationship expert Mel Schilling – aim to put relationships to the test in a unique experiment designed to determine if science can predict true love in couples who will get married at first sight.
The experts will undertake the mammoth task of pairing 20 brave singles to create their perfect match as 10 brides and 10 grooms undergo the most intense experiment yet.
The experts will match all our couples on the basis of extensive psychological and neurological testing and profiling.
Each couple meet for the first time on their wedding day, and from the moment they exchange vows their relationships are thrust under a microscope as they experience the highs and lows of marriage at full speed – alongside other couples riding the same rollercoaster.
Once again, the couples will reside under the same roof as relationships are tested like never before.
They’ll get the chance to compare their experiences at often explosive dinner parties – and put their relationships to the test at the most confronting commitment ceremonies we’ve ever seen.
But while some couples will struggle with all the complexities an intense relationship experiment brings, others will find true joy as their fairytale blossoms from first glance.
10 brides. 10 grooms. 10 weddings. Who will find true lasting love?
Netflix, German Supernatural drama Dark given Second Season
Netflix has renewed its first German original production, DARK, for a second season. The acclaimed drama created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese has resonated with audiences in Germany and around the world, including the U.S., Brazil, Italy, Turkey, Spain and France among other countries. DARK, a family saga with a supernatural twist, is now one of the most-watched entirely non-English shows on Netflix, a German series that transcends borders to connect with audiences in every country.
Kelly Luegenbiehl, Vice President of International Originals for Netflix, said: “When we first heard about DARK, we realized very early on that we hadn’t seen anything like this show before — in Germany or anywhere else in the world. DARK is a testament that great storytelling transcends geography. We’re excited that our members around the globe are captivated by the mysterious world of Winden, and will now be able to continue to see how the story unfolds.”
Showrunners Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese about the audience reception and the renewal of season two added: “We are overwhelmed by the response to DARK and are thrilled that our story has been a success with a global audience. Viewers have been captivated by the secrets of our protagonists and have taken delight in unravelling the various puzzles that the story presents. To know that we will now embark on our next journey is, for us showrunners, a dream come true. And our fans can be sure that we have plenty of surprises in store for the second season of DARK.”
Producer Quirin Berg concludes: “Jantje Friese, Baran Bo Odar, our wonderful actors and our fantastic team have put an incredible amount of energy into making DARK a unique and gripping series. We thank all of those who have accompanied us on this path. And we thank Netflix for their trust and for the excellent cooperation. We are extremely happy that DARK has by now received such an overwhelming response, both in Germany and around the world, and we are particularly thrilled about the quick decision by Netflix to take it into a second season. We can hardly wait to continue telling the story!”
DARK is now streaming on Netflix, it is set in a German town in present day where the disappearance of two young children exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. In ten, hour-long episodes, the story takes on a supernatural twist that ties back to the same town in 1986.
