The celebrity trivia showdown continues. ABC has given the green light to a fourth season of “Celebrity Jeopardy!,” bringing back the star-studded competition for another round. Ken Jennings will continue to preside over the game, guiding famous faces through the classic Jeopardy! format.
Season three saw a range of personalities, from Rachel Brosnahan to Neil deGrasse Tyson, Margaret Cho, and Roy Wood Jr., facing off in pursuit of winnings for their chosen charities. While the core gameplay—Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy!, Triple Jeopardy!, and Final Jeopardy!—remains consistent, each celebrity brings a distinct approach to the beloved game.
The third season drew an average of 2.11 million viewers and a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This represents a dip from the second season’s numbers. Nevertheless, ABC clearly sees value in the celebrity iteration of the iconic game show. The renewal comes alongside other returning ABC favorites like “American Idol,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” and “Shark Tank.”
As ABC readies its fall schedule announcement, the return of “Celebrity Jeopardy!” adds to the network’s lineup of familiar programming. The combination of celebrity appeal and the enduring popularity of the Jeopardy! format seems to be a winning formula the network is keen to maintain.
