Tori Spelling headlines Lifetime’s latest thriller, Abducted in the Everglades, as a mother desperately searching for her missing daughter amidst the treacherous beauty of the Florida swamps. When her college-aged daughter vanishes during spring break in Miami, Beverly (Spelling) wastes no time, trading her designer handbags for a mosquito net and heading south. Partnering with Ray, a grizzled boatman with an intimate knowledge of the Everglades, Beverly embarks on a perilous journey into the heart of the swamp, a world teeming with both natural dangers and human predators.
As the clock ticks, Beverly must push her fears aside and rely on her instincts to find her daughter before it’s too late. Expect the usual Lifetime movie tropes: a frantic mother, a mysterious disappearance, and a race against time. But with the added backdrop of the Everglades, this one at least gets some points for atmospheric setting. Let’s hope Spelling can deal with the murky waters of both the plot and the swamp itself. This movie airs Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 8:00 PM on Lifetime.
Abducted in the Everglades is directed by Damián Romay from a script by Dane K. Braun, Richard Pierce, and Thomas Dolan-Gavitt. Tori Spelling also executive produces alongside Joseph Wilka and Ruthanne Secunda.
