Abi Carter Crowned Winner of American Idol Season 22

The 2024 season of American Idol has concluded, with 21-year-old Abi Carter taking home the title of winner for Season 22. Hailing from Indio, California, Carter impressed judges and viewers throughout the competition with her powerful vocals and captivating performances.

From her very first audition, where she performed Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” and earned a Platinum Ticket, Carter stood out. She consistently delivered memorable performances, including renditions of Adele’s “Hello” and Fall Out Boy’s “Light ‘Em Up,” the latter of which prompted judge Lionel Richie to praise her improvement.
