Acapulco’s Final Season Checks In to Apple TV+ This July

Acapulco Season 3

Apple TV+ has announced that its bilingual comedy Acapulco will conclude with its upcoming fourth season. While the news might disappoint fans of the feel-good series, they can at least find solace in knowing there’s one last trip to Las Colinas on the horizon.

The final season kicks off with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, July 23rd, and picks up with the familiar blend of sun-drenched nostalgia and present-day reflections. Eugenio Derbez, who also executive produces, returns as the older, wiser Máximo, now grappling with the challenge of reviving the once-grand Las Colinas resort. Meanwhile, back in 1986, young Máximo (played by Enrique Arrizon) continues his climb up the Las Colinas ladder, vying for the coveted position of Junior Cabana Boy.

Derbez himself reflected on the show’s run, describing the four seasons as “magical” and expressing pride in the series’ celebration of Mexican culture. It’s a sentiment likely shared by viewers who have embraced the show’s warm humor and positive representation.

Joining the cast for the final season are Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Omar Chaparro in recurring guest star roles.
