A&E’s “After the First 48” returns this Thursday with a heart-wrenching case that underscores the devastating impact of violent crime. “In a Lonely Place” takes viewers to New Orleans, where detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose burned body was found in the trunk of her car.
The investigation takes a grim turn when it’s discovered that the victim made a frantic 911 call that tragically went unanswered.
